On Dec. 11, my mom's co-workers handed her $1,700 in cash and told her to go see her grandson. On Dec. 15 she was on a flight bound for Dresden. And on Dec. 17, six days after receiving the money, she held her first grandchild.
She'll be with us till Jan. 1 and we're having a fantastic time watching her work her maternal magic around here. Thank you to my mom's friends and co-workers. We are humbled beyond words by your gift and are making the most of every moment together.
It'll be a very good Christmas.

What an awesome thing for your mom's coworkers to do for her - and you. I'm glad you get to have her around for a little while.
That is so incredible! It's clear your mom has left such a sweet impression on her coworkers to have them rally together for her like that. This gift says a lot about your mom's coworkers, but I think it says so much about her, too.
